God gave us our church (The Joshua Church of Hong Kong - Canaan Church) a mission to build a community service center on Lamma Island.
Thank you all for your prayer support! Regarding the ministry, the latest progress is as follows:

1. Regarding the application for the use of government vacant land for the construction of community service centers, we are still revising the details of the service plan at the request of the government. May God lead us to prepare a community service plan that suits God's will.

2. Thank the Lord, in July this year, we have established the "Elderly Neighborhood Center" to serve the elderly and improve the quality of their daily life.
Please pray for us that God would lead us to raise $1,500 to purchase bathroom non-slip floor mats and give them to the elderly to help improve their home safety.
Please also pray for us that God would lead us to hire full-time professionals to serve the elderly in our Elderly Neighborhood Center.

3. The funding required to operate the "Elderly Neighborhood Center" is $800,000 per year. We are thankful to God that we have raised our first year's operating expenses.
Please pray for us that God would lead us so that we can raise $2.4 million as the operating fund for the next three years.

4. We have identified a suitable ground floor house as the "After-school Child Care Service Center" so that parents can go to work with peace of mind. We have applied to the Town Planning Board for "change of land use" to comply with relevant regulations.
Please pray for us that God would lead our application be approved by the Town Planning Board before December this year.

5. Since the beginning of the summer vacation, many volunteers have assisted in organizing our children’s soccer classes every Friday and Saturday. Over 20 children attended the training which was very popular with parents and children.

May the Lord lead us to recruit more volunteers so that we can provide other community services to the needy residents on the island.
